The Privacy page is the short version. This one expands on the same trust claims so you have a fuller picture before deciding to use the tool.

What we never do

• Write the URL or video ID you submitted to a log we can replay later.
• Keep your video file after it's delivered. We don't archive what you downloaded.
• Run fingerprinting scripts or pop-under ads.
• Sell, share, or hand your data to anyone.
• Show captchas, paywalls, fake download buttons, or "premium" upsells.
• Require an account. There is no account to make.
• Bundle the downloaded file with an installer or helper app.

What we do, minimally

• Short-lived rate-limit counters. We count how many requests have come from an IP recently to prevent abuse. Auto-expires. Not linked to any specific video.
• A short cache of public video metadata. Title, duration, and available qualities are remembered briefly per video ID so we don't ask YouTube the same question repeatedly. Not linked to who requested it.
• Aggregate traffic counts via Google Analytics. We see "X visits today", not "this visitor came from this IP and looked at these videos". Analytics cookies are off until you accept the consent banner; you can decline at any time.

What you can't verify directly

The site that runs in your browser is small and inspectable (right-click, View Source). The service behind it isn't currently public. Until it is, the claims on this page are claims, supported by the design choices we've made, but not something you can audit yourself. We think it's better to say this out loud than to imply otherwise.

What we can't help with

• Live streams and DRM-protected content. We don't bypass DRM.
• Members-only, age-gated, or private videos. They require an account session we deliberately don't maintain.
• Occasional transient failures from YouTube's side. Refresh and try again.
