What yoinkvideo is

A small, focused tool for downloading YouTube videos to your device. No accounts. No fake download buttons. No installer. The homepage is the entire app.

Why we built it

We used a lot of YouTube downloaders. Every one had the same patterns: misleading download buttons, popups that opened ads, "click here to continue" hops, fake quality pickers, mandatory captchas, premium upgrades, and quietly-bundled crapware.

yoinkvideo is the version we wanted to use. Single page. Honest about what it does and doesn't do. The format you pick is the format you get. The size shown is the size you download.

What we won't do

  • Run pop-unders, fake download buttons, or malware-disguised-as-download links.
  • Sell, share, or hand your data to anyone.
  • Add a paid tier that gates the core downloader.
  • Add captchas or "click here to continue" gates.
  • Bundle the download with unrelated installers or files.
